Dr. Nicole Lacy

DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Lacy is originally from central Iowa and moved to the Green Bay area in 2022 to join the team at Gentle Vet. She received her undergraduate and veterinary degree from Iowa State University and has been practicing since 2020. Dr. Lacy started her veterinary career with a year-long Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship at Oklahoma State University. She then moved to Houston, Texas for a year-long Avian and Exotics Specialty internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists.

Since learning about veterinary medicine, Dr. Lacy always wanted to be a zoo veterinarian. Dr. Lacy was excited to accept the job at Gentle Vet because it meant that she could continue to see all species – whether it be dogs, cats, exotics or even wildlife and zoo animals. Dr. Lacy’s areas of interest include client education and developing individual relationships with both pet and owner, surgery, and ultrasonography. She is hoping to one day become acupuncture certified to better help her patients with a variety of ailments such as pain and mobility, skin conditions or cancer.

In her spare time, Dr. Lacy enjoys spending time with her husband, Blake, and her crew of animals at home – their dogs Finley and Bella and cats Chandler and Joey. Dr. Lacy and her husband have spent time exploring the Green Bay and northern Wisconsin area since moving here and particularly love hiking and trying out local coffee shops and breweries. Dr. Lacy has also enjoyed her time volunteering with Cats Anonymous during their spay and neuter clinics.
